I had a great experience shipping my car from Oakland to Honolulu. When I moved to the mainland 4.5 years ago, I shipped my car with a competitor. This time, a friend of mine suggested CSX since they put all of the cars into sealed containers. For the same price, I thought this was a better deal.

Unfortunately, when I wanted to ship my car there was a labor dispute at the West Coast docks. I thought it would take forever to get my car back to Hawaii. However, the courteous staff at the Oakland drop off location, assured me that they would do everything possible to get me my car as quickly and safely as possible.

While waiting for my flight to Hawaii, on the same day that I dropped my car off, I received a call from CSX asking me if it would be ok to ship my car on the first outgoing ship that same day. I was amazed, for some lucky reason, I was able to get my car loaded the same day that I had dropped it off. I received my car in Hawaii less than a week later. I was very surprised at how CSX came through for me, even with the difficulties of the labor dispute. I had a great experience and I would recommend CSX to anyone who needs to ship a car to of from Hawaii.

Shipping with ShipMyVehicle.com was really easy. For most people, like myself, it was my first time that I ever shipped a car so I didn't have any other experience with it. The instructions on the website were really reasonable and clear, and when I got to the drop-off everything was really easy. You could better prepare customers by providing additional information on the site about how long you should expect to wait for the inspection or for the pickup, but all-in-all it was a good experience! I'd definitely use the service again!

It guess it sped things up to have done it online, and it was good to have that option. If I didn't have that online option I probably would have just shipped with Matson.

After an emotionally strenuous move being planned from Chicago to Hawaii the last thing I wanted to do was worry about the best way to get my car across the country then over the ocean. I contacted a few of the companies who advertise such services and was most comfortable with Shipmyvehicle.com. My origination point was Long Beach CA. The drop off process took less than an hour, to my surprise. The dock strike did delay my vehicle for another 2 weeks from Long Beach to Hawaii though. I was given a call back with in 24 hours of leaving messages about my delayed friend. A call was promptly given to me when and where to get my car, with a smile. Drinks and a place to rest was offered in both pick up and drop off offices.

To pick up the car the process was about 45 minutes. Over all I would recommend CSX to others, thanks for making my move a smoother transition.
